Sage Hospitality | Historic Renovation
"Through their experience and knowledge about intelligent product choices, Teammates helped us to meet our business and design requirements. They have been a valuable partner, guiding us through the complex variety of options and helping us make the right furniture decisions about our new space" - Walter Isenberg, Sage Hospitality president CEO.
The historic Steel Building in the heart of downtown Denver was built in 1923 at the corner of 16th and Welton Streets. This four-story Steel Building (now known as the Sage Building,) which formerly housed the Fontius Shoe Company store, remained vacant and neglected for nearly 20 years.
Sage Hospitality, one of the largest privately held hotel management and development companies in the nation, purchased, renovated, and relocated their corporate headquarters to this Denver landmark.
To furnish the space, Sage chose locally owned Teammates Commercial Interiors and District by Teknion for their workstations and private offices. The low profile and clean lines provided the open/collaborative environment they desired and blended well with the building’s urban aesthetic. District also provided Sage with the reconfiguration flexibility they require to easily adapt to changing business needs.
This award winning project not only provided an ideal environment for Sage’s employees but has also contributed to the ongoing efforts to revitalize Denver’s Downtown.
